Layerhouse exists because independent creators deserve a music platform that's on their side.
Royalty-free music licensing is broken for independent creators. The big platforms started out for creators but grew into enterprise tools serving brands, agencies, and corporations. Somewhere along the way, the YouTuber with 10,000 subscribers and the indie game developer working nights and weekends became an afterthought.
Layerhouse is different. We're building a curated music library that stays small on purpose — because 500 tracks you'd actually use is worth more than 50,000 you have to wade through. Every track is handpicked. Every license is written in plain English. Every pricing decision is made with independent creators in mind, not enterprise sales teams.
We also believe artists deserve better. Most platforms treat music like a commodity — a product to be acquired cheaply and licensed at scale. We treat it like craft.
